Thats an awesome feature! Didn't know we could do that.

Should we differentiate between proposed and approved projects?

The five options so far are:

    U/C
    Proposed
    Complete
    Demolition
    Cancelled

If people would like an Approved option we can add that, and others (Sales?) too. My only word of advice is lets not add too many, as these should be broad stages shared by most developments. The last section of the thread can be used for project specific data (ie. X% Sold).

    Monthly Newsletter

Figured someone would've already started a thread on the Monthly Newsletter but I can't seem to find it. (feel free to move this post to an existing thread if one exists)

I just wanted to say I really like the idea! It's fresh, short, sweet and to the point!!

I like the idea of keeping it 1 or 2 pages so it's "readable" in a short period of time. I know when I get newsletters from other organizations, I like it best when I can scan it quickly, get important points, dates and information from it in a few minutes. If it's too long or too wordy, I usually don't read the whole thing. Bite size is best for me.

Great idea gang! Wonderful Waterloo is getting more Wonderful.....

There's now a "Thanks" at the bottom of every post (not including your own).

There's an undo ability if you click it by mistake. Also the total number of thanks you receive will show up in your profile.

    Membership Levels

Gone are the days of Junior Member, Member & Senior Member. In their place are a series of levels based on Settlement Hierarchy.

This new feature is great, I love it!

    Did you code this yourself?

Taking away the actual reply with quote button and going with just the icon....not the greatest decision. You have to hover over things to figure out what they are.

Same with the Thanks button and everything else.

I like how it's just the icons that are shown. It makes everything look more clean.

    Totally agree!

I really like the bookmarking feature as well, I wish more forums would implement this. Is it customized code, or something VB can do out of the box?

It was just more functional before. Particularly for those who don't know the icons well.

Looking good is great, but over functionality? Not that great.

But once you realize that hovering the mouse pointer over the icon reveals the text description it's much cleaner — providing the powers-that-be can resist the temptation to add more icons
