I've been twice now. Once the service was amazing, the second time it was just average. The second time, the food was a bit slow coming from the kitchen, but nothing too bad. Theres lots on the menu I want to go back to have though. I hear the sarsaparilla spare ribs are great.

I wouldnt worry about the service there, unless it's an ongoing issue.

    Shawn, what'd you have?

We had Mill Steeet Organic draft beer and shared the Pepperoni & Cheese flat bread appetizer. It looked like a plain pepperoni pizza, but was very good! For my main course I had the Atlantic Salmon, pan roasted with braised fennel, french beans, new potatoes and horse radish cream. The other main course was the Spaghetti and Meatballs with buffalo mozzarella stuffed meat balls with rustic tomato sauce.

You're right, I was also tempted to get the Sarsaparilla Beef Short Ribs as well as I considered the Steak Frites (12oz dry aged rib eye). I decided to go with the fish because I never prepare anything like that at home.

I was there tonight. I agree the portions are small, had a woods flatbread, atlantic salmon, and then a double dessert and I was only full. But the quality of the food was excellent. The service was acceptably fast (could have been a little better, but if it takes time to cook that's fine) and friendly, but our waitress didn't know the menu very well, and had to go get the answer to basic questions. I think the portions represent what is standard for fine European-style dining, so I don't really expect more. I agree with you that the service is their biggest issue.

Ya I'd agree about the portions. And I think the service/menu knowledge will come with time. I wonder how much of the wait staff were hold overs from the other restaurant.

How was the double dessert? Which one did you get?
