  1. Go to New Post

Usually when clicking on "Go to new post" (the blue circle with the two white arrows?) other forums take me to the newest post in the thread.. here it seems to just go to the top of the page that contains the newest post.. is this working for anyone else?

    Is this working now?

I just upgraded the software, which was supposed to fix this & other issues. As a side effect, there's some custom restyling to do over the next day (known issue).

    Hi!

I was just wondering if it would be possible, when entering a discussion, to be automatically placed at the first unread post? (Obviously this would only apply to forum members who have logged on).

Go to the "What's New?" page as linked on the top of each page of this site. On that page all threads that have unread posts will have an icon like this to the left of the thread title. That button will take you to the first unread post in that thread.

Thanks! I never realized that little symbol was a separate clickable object!

Hey I've actually been bothered by this for a while, but I kept forgetting to post it. On the homepage, and on the forum pages, could we expand the size of the little "fast forward" buttons that take you to the end of a thread?

I find that I rarely ever want to actually click on the thread itself and start from the beginning and I bet most other users use the little blue arrows to skip to the latest post on a thread as well. Indeed, the problem is super bad when I'm using my BlackBerry or iPod Touch to access this site. I often find myself clicking on the arrow, but since it's so small, I end up clicking the link and accidentally end up at the beginning.

So again, could we please maybe double or triple the size of those icons so that it makes life easier on mobile devices? Sorry for being a pain, but as I said, it's been bothering me for a while and I think it would be a relatively easy fix! Thanks!

I have that problem when I don't log in, but if you are logged in, have you tried going to Settings? You can have threads always come up with the most recent post at the top, and the first post at the bottom of the last page in the thread. It has proven quite helpful, once I changed it.
Eventually, you can't go on not caring. You realize you have a voice.

Cool thanks! I never noticed that feature. On the other hand though, it doesn't really solve my mobile device problem because I don't ever sign in on them.

If you have a mobile device, sign in once with the keep me signed in option checked, and you should be fine.
