I'm very disappointed with the names. I love the WAVE name.

A couple of days ago I took this picture of the roundabout going up at Davenport and Old Abbey. I just took it quickly with my cell phone... I was biking home.

Anyone know if the Walmart going in Bridgeport Plaza will have a McDonalds in it?

Does anyone know how many lanes this bridge will have. Maybe 4?

With the Ontario deficit, I am wondering if the government is going to give us our rapid transit money? Same thing for the federal government? I'm pretty sure they said they are going to give us the...

How will LRT go down Borden Ave? Isn't it only a small side street?
-
I agree... the road is currently very large, easily could be a 3 lane road. A boulevard and bike lanes are needed.

Does anyone know of any vegetarian places (either restaurants or grocery stores) in the Region of Waterloo?

There should be a sign on the border of K/W. I also think it would be nice if there was an additional sign when entering Uptown saying "Welcome to Uptown Waterloo" or something like that (like they...

I agree with you and don't think it's a good idea. A trail doesn't even have cars on it so it's kind of silly for it to be part of a car free event. The Iron Horse trail is very narrow compared to...

Ah, I think I see why. The 23rd station you counted was the Preston Station which will not be included in stage one (when Cambridge has BRT). For stage 2, there will be 23 stations.

Another snow day (second one in a week), another day the roads are clear and buses are cancelled. Guess that's the second storm in a row we were suppose to get but didn't.

Haha, so much for that!! Only got a couple cm of snow, roads are not slippery, but for some reason all school buses were cancelled. Only 5 people in my morning class. I guess since we've got not a...

I really hope this is not true, but I think RIM will never be where it was again. Apple and Google and maybe even Microsoft are too big and too powerful for RIM with lots of incredible software.

I read on article on the record a few months ago, and they said it will get started when they add the HOV lanes from Cambridge to Halton (I forget when that's getting started, sometime between 2014...

I have to agree with HillDweller on this one. I understand the reasoning, but I think the station by the highway would ruin the purpose of the transit hub.

Jane Mitchell's the best.

Also, I can't post any comments on my android.

Well, whatever is going on with RIM, I agree with this article saying they need to partner up with another company:...
-
But RIM's stocks have crashed insanely this past year with lots of major disappointments for the public. Apple and Google's Android are killing RIM.

What's the cost from here to Chicago?

It will actually stop at Pearson, Bloor, Weston, and Union.

Thanks Chris, and welcome to Wonderful Waterloo!!

Since the LRT will no longer be going on Erb, but now on the rail line, do you think the streetscape will be moved down to the rails?

A PlayBook is a tablet (same thing as an iPad or Galaxy Tab, etc.).

I totally agree with you. I am 100% pro-rail, intercity public transit, etc, but the reality is North America is a car nation. We need highways and large roads to get around. In Europe, it is more...

Does this mean the region would have no control over the whole system, including expanding the lines?

I understand what everyone is saying, but we still need expressways (and I do understand how maybe we DON'T need one from Guelph to Kitchener... even though I still think we do). If there were no...

The region has already bought that land :RpS_thumbup:

The new transit hub will be between King and Duke Street right? Because I was looking at this:...

I think a highway is still the best option though. People want to get to Guelph or Kitchener fast, on an expressway. Also, they will eventually have to have 6 lanes (3 in each direction) to meet...
