The Waterloo dump has started charging $2 just to drive on the property. Why not charge student housing landlords an annual waste fee to cover their regular and seasonal 'over-contribution' to the...

Honestly I think I was just bothered by all of the garbage that was on the street. It looked like a ghetto in a 3rd world country and I do not like seeing our cities look that way.

I apologize for the rant and wasnt really sure where to post this.

Honestly, I think people are just being more selective on food choices and typical fast food places are not one of them. Personally, I would rather pick something up from the small independent...

Ditto. I am not a fan of the bunny ranch either. It is a shame I am still too young to live in the 55+ communities:RpS_lol:

Wow, that and Eat N Put were classics.

My favourite place as a kid was at the original Hiway Market. There was a classic diner inside the store. WE would go there every Friday to do the grocery shopping, back then you could cash your...

I thought this building was vacant. So why would the water still be turned on? Guess its not.
-
Maybe I have been lucky, everytime I have gone the service has been good. But I am not in a rush to leave a cozy little spot that Imbibe has created.
-
NIce shots. I love the night time pics of the downtown core.
-
Nice. It amazes me how bright the blue LED lights are in a picture. They are not as intense in person.
-
Your pics are fantastic. The downtown area looks so pretty lit up at night.

In the spirit of Christmas, I had to share this pic. This house does the Griswald's proud, just a shame my pic is not better. For those who want to drive by, it is on Weber st, close to Cedar.

All of the locations are on the honour system. The owner has to do a 1 day a year cash register for tax purposes. I love the set up, come in get your yummy treats, drop some money and off you go.
-
Agreed, the white fence seems a bit bright. The building at least has some personality.
-
How many people are thinkg- gee I am glad I live in Kitchener, no where near these buildings on King?

-
The location was not great and I have had better food & service at other places. The 1 and only time I went, it was empty. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. Same can be said for the locaton...

I don't see the big fuss over Whole Foods. IMO, it is far more expensive nor better quality. And to be perfectly honest you can find everything they sell at most health food stores, the markets or...
-
Such a great looking building. I am loving the transformation happening to Downtown Kitchener.

I was thinking the same, who would post something like that on Kijiji?
I love the discussion on what the downtown needs, but we shouldn't forget how much we do have. I live in the downtown area...
-
why would you want a tall building in Kitchener, especially in that corner? It would stick out like a sore thumb. May I point out the Dolly Parton TD Building?
I would hope that the developer...

Both Vincenzo & Rita were the sweetest people ever. My parents started shopping at the original store on Bridgeport way back. I have memories of the big chocolate Easter eggs hanging above the deli...
-
Agreed. The change that has happened in the last 2 years at the Tannery has been fantastic. Seeing the corner of Victoria & King turn into a thriving little hub has been one of the best things that...
-
I think any colour would inject some brightness to a very drab corner. I do prefer the mock up of the different colours but this will add some life to Ontario & Duke St.
-
Since we are on the topic of Downtown Dining, I wanted to remind every one about the little jewel Northern Thai.
We grabbed some takeout on Friday night and it was fantastic. The food was delicious...

I know this will get some remarks and I will apologize up front, but most customers who shop at Walmart are not likely to shop at the stores in the Uptown corridor.
-
These pics are fantastic. The building is going to be a show stopper when all is done.
