From RedFlagDeals: HOT! Rude Native Waterloo $4 drinks, appetizers and desserts (http://forums.redflagdeals.com/kw-hot-rude-native-waterloo-4-drinks-apps-953112/)
I just went to Rude Native in Waterloo and our server told us that they have drinks and apps for $4 (incl tax) everyday between 4-6 and thurs-sat from 10pm-2am.

Drinks include pretty much anything you can think of- beer in bottles or on tap, cocktails, martinis, shots, wine

Apps - All of their apps (except coconut shrimp), breads, soups, salads, and sushi

They also have desserts for $4- all of them!!
It's worth skimming through the rest of the thread for additional information, e.g. the original post was made on Oct 17th but just now someone posted, "Make sure you confirm this deal before ordering as they have recently changed a few things. On their website they advertised their "Rude Hour" drink specials applying to all day Sunday and Monday and I assumed that this would apply to the apps as well. When I went on Sunday and ordered 2 glasses of wine and 2 apps the total was over $50."

Cadbury Chocolate

You know you're (smart/stupid/crazy/nuts/insane/have OCD/soon to be obese/...) when there's $1,545.84 of chocolate (684 bars / 68.4 kg) in your kitchen.

This past Sunday you could buy $8 worth of chocolate and receive 8,000 Shoppers Optimum Points. One dollar per thousand points.

Once you had 95,000 Points, you could buy $220 worth of merchandise, including chocolate. The higher redemption amount was a bonus deal to celebrate Shoppers Drug Mart's 50th Anniversary.

Points Spent: 95,000
Purchased: 112 Chocolate Bars ($253.12)
Cash Spent: $33.12 (subtracting the $220)
Points Earned: 224,000
Net Point Gain: 129,000

Although not as good, you could also pick up $14 of multi-pack gum and get 8000 points. We picked up over $360 of the stuff to chew.

This was the best case of 'extreme couponing / extreme deals' we've ever done. We got $4000 worth of merchandise for $400 cash (you still need to pay the sales tax).

Somebody else in the area clued into this too, because the stores down on Highland (Westmount/Ira Needles) & Strasburg were out of bars. Downtown Kitchener & Galt were gold mines though.

If it doesn't already exist, does anyone have a proposal for a Waterloo Region Chocolate Festival? :silly::silly:

The chocolate haul...
