I noticed this yesterday, but have the threads been reformatted to leave a large gap on the right hand side? All of the pictures and titles on the first thread posts used to be directly centred, now they are more off to the left hand side, leaving all of this blank space on the right. Is this space on the right hand side intended to be used for something in the future?

I see what you mean and it's not even exclusively happening to the first thread posts but appears to be happening with a number of posts now. Recently we just uploaded the latest patch (Version 4.0.1) and I believe that's what's causing the issue (appears as though the post margins have changed). I've sent it to the admin as a known issue, the other being the statistics showing a completely off number of Threads:16,777,344 & Posts:4,294,968,039. Both seem to be minor glitches, so they should be fixed soon. Please report any others you find. I know logged in users were having an issue with the "Home" button, but that should be fixed now.

Your guess does have some merit though, and eventually I'll be looking at redesigning the site with a better layout, incase you (or others) have ideas. Already we have somewhat of a common thread layout (which i like): title, address, websites, logo/picture ; all centred in the first post, with a description. However I do want to enhance the user experience.

Im getting that same problem.

On a positive note though, the "home" issue is no longer an issue.

Issues look to be resolved. Thanks admins

Hello!

So far so good! One thing I'd appreciate though is to have the "bread crumb" (showing where you are within the forums) and the Reply to Thread button also available at the bottom of the page.

Yes this issue has been resolved, the vBulletin team said this was a bug that has already been fixed in 4.02 which is due for release quite soon.

Thread/Post Count Issue has been fixed too.

"bread crumb" - will look into it this weekend.

Reply to Thread available at the bottom - I'm not quite sure what you mean as this button already shows up at the bottom for myself. Is it missing for others too? Can you post a print screen to show what you mean?

I didn't realize that the REPLY button at the bottom works the same as the REPLY TO THREAD button at the top. However, it would still be nice to have the bread crumb feature at the bottom, like we did on SSP.

At the top of SSP I saw:

And a the bottom of SSP I saw:

@scarfinv
I'm 95% your issue is your browser with regards to the missing button. Those grey boxes around icons tell me your using a browser that doesn't support PNG transparency, the only one of those still around and used by some is Internet Explorer 6 from 2001. IE6 really is ancient, the current version of Internet Explorer is 8, there's also Firefox and Google Chrome which are (in my opinion) vastly superior. If you upgrade the missing button issue should go away. Google is also dropping support for IE6 effective March 1, so it's a good time to do it anyways.

Regarding forum navigation on the bottom, I'd love to see that too. Forums don't get marked as read if I use the back button (known issue with vBulletin) so I'm always scrolling up to the top when I finish reading a thread.

Reply to Thread: thanks taylortbb for the explanation. scarfinv, is it possible for you try another browser? If it's still not showing then I'll look into it further.

Forum Location @ Bottom: I sent another email to waterlooadmin (http://www.wonderfulwaterloo.com/member.php/1-waterlooadmin) regarding this. The problem is he's an accountant so this is his super-busy season (with taxes); but I'll try to push him on it. In the meantime I'd recommend to use the Quick Navigation Link:

Yep, you're right about that. One of my machines still runs IE 6, my others run IE 8 and I just hadn't accessed W2 from them yet. I just tried and I do see the Reply to Thread button at the bottom when using IE 8.

Anyone else's thread format all messed up? None of my posts are formatted like they used to be, the bar across teh top of the post is no longer there and everything seems to be unformatted.

Still looks normal for me. Try clearing your browser cache. Maybe something got corrupted.

Still looks normal for me.Same here using 3 different browsers.

Try clearing your browser cache. Maybe something got corrupted. Also try a different browser to see if it renders the same page any differently.
