Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone might know as to what is being developed at the corner of OTTAWA St N and Lackner Blvd. There is a lot of movement there with grading. I believe the Hallman group owned the lands (I could be wrong) so could it possibly be new commercial? I can't find anything in the City of Kitchener's website relating to the development.

I contacted the City to find out what was going on @ the corner of Ottawa & Lackner and they told me that:

"There is a site plan application for this site. The owner is planning to develop an 8 storey apartment building. The owner is currently undertaking some site grading works to prepare it for development in the future."

Construction is well under way on the this new project. Looks like base footings are in and parking structure is starting. Does anyone have any renderings on the building? also is this going up as condos or rental units.

I was trying to find out myself. Emailed a couple of realtors I know and no one knows anything about this development.

I'M kind of thinking that it might be rental units owned and managed by the Hallman group. I think that there might be a second building going up behind that one under construction.
